Aviation regiment reduces transition flight training cycle by two thirds
南航某团新型战机改装周期缩短近三分之二

  One day in mid-winter, over 10 new-type fighter planes roared off one after another from an airfield of an aviation unit of the South China Sea Fleet, and flew through several aerial zones before they landed successfully at an unfamiliar airfield 1,000 kilometers away. Since the transition flight training for this new type of fighter plane kicked off in last May, this aviation regiment of the South China Sea Fleet has broken away from conventions to organize the training in a scientific way, and has completed a number of flight training subjects, including multi-aircraft formation flight, minimum altitude flight over the seawater and low-altitude night maneuver, air-to-ship missile attack and long-range flying raid, to name a few. The transition flight training cycle has been reduced approximately by two thirds, and it has achieved better and faster results in generating fighting power of these new fighter aircraft.

  In order to accelerate the generation of the fighting power of the new type of fighter planes, this regiment has made careful plans for each training link and made great efforts to raise efficiency through scientific training. The new type of fighter plane features high info and automation degrees, sophisticated navigational and operational performance. In light of these characteristics, this regiment decisively lowered the minimum flight conditions to encourage pilots to fly boldly through fogs and clouds to sharpen their piloting skill and effectively raise the flying efficiency.

  本报讯 记者司彦文、通讯员王世均报道:隆冬时节,南海舰队航空兵某机场,10多架新型战机相继呼啸升空,一路飞越数个空域,成功降落在1000公里之外的某陌生机场。自今年5月进入新机种改装以来,南航某团打破常规,科学组训,至今已完成多机编队、海上超低空、夜间低空机动、空舰导弹攻击、大航程奔袭等课目,改装周期与以往相比缩短近三分之二,又好又快地形成作战能力。

  为加速新机种战斗力生成,南航某团周密筹划每个训练环节,向科学组训要效率。 针对新型战机信息化、自动化程度高,导航、操纵性能更加先进等特点,他们果断降低机场开放条件,让飞行员放开胆子"穿云破雾",有效提高了飞行效率。
