Since early December, all the units at and above detachment level of
the Armed Police Forest Force have been equipped with the backing-up
system for forest fire early-warning and extinguishing tactics---an
information system that has been awarded the "Silver Prize of Excellent
National Geographic Information Project". The reporters saw at the
firefighting frontline command post that, relevant information such as
fire situation analysis, firefighters strength formation, geographic
backgrounds, forecast for fire and weather class and satellite
remote-monitored cloud chart, etc. can all be clearly displayed on the
screen of a computer installed with the system.
The headquarters of the Armed Police Forest Force has input plenty of
manpower, material and financial resources into the development of the
system. The headquarters pooled the most advanced technological forces at
home to apply the technological results in the fields of information
processing, communication transmission and remote sensing and monitoring
to the system, so as to make it an integral system capable of fire
disaster information acquiring and processing, fire fighting capacity
generating and the brainpower generating for organization, command and
decision-making in terms of fire fighting operation.

武警森林部队指挥部积极开展科研活动，先后投入大量人力物力财力，进行火灾预警与扑救决策支持系统配套软硬件的建设。他们集中国内相关领域技术优势力量，把信息处理、通信传输和遥感监测等领域的先进科技应用于森林火灾的预警与扑救决策支持系统，形成了火灾信息获取与处理、灭火战斗力生成及组织指挥决策智能生成的完整体系。
