The reporter learned yesterday that at the China TV documentary
appraisal activity, sponsored by the TV Artists Association of China and
the Chinese TV Documentary Academic Committee, the eight-episode TV
special themed on Zheng He's Epic Voyages, jointly shot by the
Association for the Development and Promotion of the Chinese Culture, the
Nanjing Municipal Committee of the CPC and the Publicity Department of the
Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPC, was named one of the "Top 10
Excellent Works " of the Chinese TV documentary serials in 2006. The
related department of the PLA General Political Department has now
specially produced a batch of DVD version of Zheng He's Epic
voyages, ready to distribute them to the PLA naval units at regimental
level and above and the related departments of major military
organizations of the PLA. The DVD is expected to be a vivid teaching
material for patriotic education in the PLA troops.

本报北京11月28日电 记者刘璇报道：记者今天获悉，在中国电视艺术家协会、中国电视纪录片学术委员会举办的中国电视纪录片评比活动中，由中华文化发展促进会、南京市委、江苏省委宣传部联合拍摄的8集电视专题片《郑和下西洋》，被评为2006年度中国电视纪录片系列片"十佳作品"。总政有关部门专门制作了一批《郑和下西洋》DVD光盘，下发海军团以上单位及各大单位有关部门，使之成为部队进行爱国主义教育的生动教材。
