Yesterday afternoon, the first comprehensive communication school of
the PLA-the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army Communication
School-completed its renovation at its former site and received the first
group of visitors made up of the Red Army veterans, teenagers and the
representatives of the PLA communication units.
The predecessor of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army
Communication School was a radio operation training class of the First
Front Army of the Red Army and the Central Revolutionary Military
Commission Radio School, and it was Deng Xiaoping, the then secretary of
the Ruijin County Committee of the CPC, who chose Pingshangang in Ruijin
as school site in March 1933. In a brief period of several years, it
cultivated some 2,100 communication backbones for the Party and the army
and made important contributions to establishing communication between the
Red Army front armies and the revolutionary base areas, facilitating the
strategic command of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission leaders
over the whole army, seizing victories of the revolutionary wars and
founding the new China.
Ge Zhenfeng, deputy chief of general staff of the PLA, Zhu Wenquan,
commander of the Nanjing Military Area Command, Xi Guohua, vice minister
of the Ministry of Information Industry and Fu Kecheng, deputy secretary
of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the CPC attended the ceremony to
celebrate the completion of the renovation of the former school site.

本报瑞金11月22日电 申永军、记者李鑫报道：今天下午，我军第一所综合性通信学校--中国工农红军通信学校旧址在这里修复落成，并迎来了由老红军、青少年和全军通信官兵代表组成的第一批参观者。
中国工农红军通信学校前身为红一方面军无线电训练班、中革军委无线电学校，1933年3月由时任瑞金县委书记的邓小平同志亲自选定校址，在瑞金坪山岗组建成立。在短短几年时间，为我党我军培养了2100余名通信工作骨干，对建立红军各方面军和各根据地的通信联络，保障中革军委首长对全军的战略指挥，夺取革命战争的胜利和新中国的建立做出了重大贡献。
副总参谋长葛振峰、南京军区司令员朱文泉、国家信息产业部副部长奚国华、江西省委副书记傅克诚等军地领导出席了今天的旧址修复落成仪式。
