On November 20, the "monitoring and command system on the Army vessels,
ports and docks" played a big role in a comprehensive maritime support
exercise organized by the PLA Zhenjiang Watercraft College. With such a
system, the college realized the automatic command and deployment of
vessels' entering or leaving docks and the precise support in terms of the
POL, water and electricity, which indicated that the management of
vessels, ports and docks of the Army has been on an informationization
fast lane.
This system, developed successfully after over four years' great
efforts by the Zhenjiang Watercraft College, has currently been installed
and debugged in all ports and docks of the Army.

本报镇江11月21日电 张明、记者朱达报道：昨天，在镇江船艇学院组织的海上综合保障演练中，"陆军船艇港湾码头监控指挥系统"大显身手--船艇进出港实现电脑自动指挥调度，油水电供给实现精确保障，这标志着我陆军船艇港湾码头管理驶入信息化快车道。
这一系统由镇江船艇学院经过4年多的科研攻关研制成功，目前已在陆军各港湾码头进行调试安装。
