Yesterday, over 350 experts, scholars and doctorate students gathered
at the National Defense University (NDU) to attend the National PhD
Students Academic Forum (on Military Sciences) 2006. During the forum,
they will carry out in-depth discussion focusing on the main topic of "the
Scientific Outlook on Development and Strengthening National Defense and
the Army Building in the New Century and the New Period" and the important
theoretical topics and the frontier subjects in the related branches of
learning.
The current forum is aimed at broadening the field of academic vision
of doctorate students majoring in military sciences and the related
academic fields, kindle their enthusiasm for making innovations in
scientific research so as to further raise the training quality of the
Chinese doctorate students majoring in military sciences and enhance the
capacity of the army in performing its historical mission in the new
century and the new period.
The current forum, organized by the NDU under the aegis of the
Academic Degree Accreditation Office of the State Council and the Academic
Degree Administration and Postgraduate Education Department of the
Ministry of Education, has provided five sub-forums, namely "War and
Strategy", "Combined Operations", "Command of the Army", "Political Work
of the Army" and "Military Logistics and Armaments and National Defense
Economy". During the forum, such activities as the thematic academic
lectures, doctorate students' academic reports and academic salons will be
held as well, and many well-known experts from various branches of
learning and doctorate students will carry out face-to-face exchanges on
some hot and difficult topics. Meanwhile, the China Military Online
(www.chinamil.com.cn) will open up an online forum for doctorate students
of military universities and colleges to carry out online discussion.

记者李绪成、武天敏报道：今天，来自军内外的350多名专家学者和博士生相聚国防大学，举办2006年全国博士生论坛（军事学）。论坛期间，将围绕"科学发展观与新世纪新阶段国防和军队建设"这一主题，就相关学科领域的重大理论问题和前沿问题展开深入探讨。
此次论坛目的在于拓宽军事学及相关领域博士生的学术视野，激发科研创新热情，进一步提高我国军事学博士生的培养质量，提高履行新世纪新阶段我军历史使命的能力。
由国务院学位办公室、教育部学位管理与研究生教育司主办，国防大学承办的此次论坛设"战争与战略"、"联合作战"、"军队指挥"、"军队政治工作"、"军队后勤、装备与国防经济"5个分论坛。论坛期间，将举办主题学术报告会、分论坛博士生学术报告会、学术沙龙等活动，并邀请各学科知名专家与博士生就有关热点和难点问题进行面对面的交流。同时，还通过"中国军网"向全军各高校在读博士生开辟网上论坛。 |
