The Legal System Publicity, Education and Research Center of the
General Staff Headquarters (GSH) of the PLA, the first of its kind in the
army, was formally declared to be established at the conference of legal
system publicity and education work of the General Staff Headquarters held
yesterday. As a subsequent development, the curtain was lifted on the
first "legal system publicity month".
According to the briefing given by the responsible person of the
department concerned, the primary responsibilities for this center are to
compile materials for law-popularizing education, train legal backbones,
offer on-line legal services, assess legal consultants and sponsor annual
conference on law-popularizing research.
The conference on legal system publicity and education also came out
with the decision that a month from November 4 each year is chosen to be
the legal system publicity month of the General Staff Headquarters. Xu
Qiliang, deputy chief of general staff of the PLA attended and addressed
the conference, and bestowed an inscribed board upon the Legal System
Publicity, Education AND Research Center of the General Staff
Headquarters.

特约记者张彦中报道：在今天召开的总参法制宣传教育工作会议上，我军第一家法制宣传教育研究中心--总参法制宣传教育研究中心挂牌宣布成立。随之，总参第一个"法制宣传月"活动也拉开序幕。
据有关部门负责人介绍，这个中心的主要任务是编写普法教材、培训法律骨干、提供在线法律服务、考核法律咨询员及承办普法研究年会等。
这次法制宣传教育工作会议还确定，每年11月4日至12月4日为总参法制宣传月。
副总参谋长许其亮出席会议并讲话，为总参法制宣传教育研究中心授予牌匾。 |
