For days on end, 60 staff students of the National Defense University
(NDU) from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Armed Police Force are
temporarily grouped into a ship formation of a destroyer flotilla of the
PLA Navy as sailors for a maritime training. It is the first experience
for the NDU, which indicates that the joint teaching and training
activities held by the NDU together with the frontline troops realize a
substantial advancement from contents to forms, thus setting a new
platform to train commanding talents for joint operations.
Xia Xingyou, deputy dean of the NDU and the organizer of this
teaching activity, told the reporters that the NDU has made it a rule to
join hands with the frontline troops to hold joint teaching and training
activities so as to "imbed" the students in different posts and stations
in the frontline troops and provide them the opportunity of devoting
themselves whole-heartedly in the entire process with all essential
factors of the training and exercise in a bid to enhance their awareness
of integration, widen their strategic vision and forge combat spirit, thus
turning the heated drilling field to a large classroom in which students
and servicemen can learn from each other's strong points and offset their
own weakness.

本报青岛10月24日电 林培雄、记者武天敏报道：连日来，国防大学60名来自陆海空军和武警部队的参谋学员，以舰员身份编入海军某驱逐舰支队舰艇编队出海演练。此举在国防大学尚属首次，标志着该校与一线部队开展的联教联训教学活动从内容到形式都有了实质性拓展，为联合作战指挥人才培养搭建了新平台。
组织此次教学活动的国防大学副教育长夏兴有告诉记者，国防大学与一线部队联合开展联教联训教学活动，让学员"嵌入"一线部队的岗位和战位，在全过程、全要素、全身心参与部队训练和演习中增强联合意识、开阔战略视野、培养战斗精神，使火热的演兵场成为院校与部队互相学习、取长补短的大课堂。 |
